Well this Student Doctor has actually made it to Oregon - and what a beautiful trip it was from Arizona. With my car packed full of mostly medical books, my Mom and I set out from Arizona early last week. We took the long way through Utah to see friends and then picked up Dad in Reno to take the scenic route through the California coast. Along the way, we drove through Lassen Volcanic National Park, Redwood National Park (my favorite - walking in the "big trees"), and spent some time exploring the gorgeous rugged California and Oregon coast. So beautiful! I am settled in my new place and have already checked out the walking paths along the river to the west of my apartment. I even joined some medical school friends on a hike in the Columbia River Gorge - Horsetail Falls - real uphill is definitely a bit more challenging than walking uphill on a treadmill :-) School starts late next week so I still have time to explore a bit more of the area before I get back into the study mode of no life! I miss everyone in Arizona sooo much! I know this is where I need to be right now though so I am doing my best to jump in with both feet :) Enjoy the Pics!
